Commercial Pipefitter Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Commercial Construction Location: [Insert Location] Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Pipefitter to install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, working with various piping materials, and performing quality installations while following OSHA and jobsite safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Install, assemble, and repair commercial piping systems. Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping layouts. Measure, cut, thread, groove, fit, and install pipe according to specifications. Install piping for HVAC, hydronic, water, steam, gas, and other commercial systems. Use hand and power tools, pipe machines, threading equipment, and other trade equipment. Perform pipe supports, hangers, valves, fittings, and equipment connections. Test piping systems for leaks and proper operation. Work with other trades to coordinate installations and resolve jobsite conflicts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements. Perform work efficiently while maintaining quality and project schedules. Qualifications Commercial pipefitting experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and piping drawings. Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, valves, and installation methods. Proficient with pipefitting hand and power tools. Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install piping. Strong understanding of commercial construction practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. OSHA 10 certification is preferred. Must be able to lift, carry, climb, bend, and work in various jobsite conditions. Preferred Skills Experience with HVAC and hydronic piping systems. Experience with threaded, grooved, welded, and soldered/brazed piping systems. Familiarity with commercial mechanical rooms and equipment connections. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry tools, pipe, fittings, and materials. Ability to work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work areas. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments.
