Quality Control Supervisor

Summit Precast Concrete, LLC, located in Navasota, TX is looking for a full-time Quality Control Supervisor or Technician to organize and coordinate TxDOT Related Quality Control duties and procedures for a fast growing company. Must have strong organizational skills, a mind for critical thinking and troubleshooting, strong attention to detail and have the ability to work independently and in a team. Requires working knowledge of TxDOT Standard Specifiactions, quality control of concrete, experience with quality control procedures and pre and post-pour inspections. Previous experience as an Quality Control Supervisor or Technician would be an advantage. A successful QC Personnel should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Ultimately, the QC Supervisor / Technician should be able to ensure the smooth running of the QC Department and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation. *QC Supervisor Responsibilities:* * Implementation of company's Quality Control Plan * Work with TxDOT on a daily basis to ensure all products are fabricated in accordance with TxDOT Standard Specifications * Batching and mixing – The fundamental components needed to ensure a durable, watertight and strong finished product * Reinforcement – The role of reinforcement and its impact on handling and placement * Production Practices – An overview of the entire production process from pre-pour to post-pour operations * Organizing and filing * Support management as needed *Requirements:* * 2 + years in QC Inspection or similar position * PCI Level 1 QC Tech, or ACI - Concrete Construction Special Inspector, or NPCA PQS - Level 1 * ACI Concrete Field Testing Tech - Grade 1 * ACI Aggregate Testing Tech - Level 1 * ACI Concrete Strength Testing Tech * Working knowledge of TxDOT Standard Specifications * Proficient computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel * Full-time, 6:00 am – 4 pm - Or as company deems necessary *Optional Benefits:* * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Paid time off Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
