Description

ETI Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable, motivated Construction Materials Testing Technician. This position involves regular travel throughout Texas. Send resumes by email to [email protected] . The ideal candidates have at least one year of CMT experience, work well independently, communicate professionally, and are willing to obtain additional industry certifications. Position includes field and lab work with soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and related construction materials. Responsibilities: Perform field tests, sample, and inspect soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and other materials. Conduct soil compaction test and observe concrete placements. Perform lab test of soils, aggregates, and concrete as trained and assigned. Accurately document test procedures, observations, and results. Prepare and submit detailed daily field reports on time. Review and follow project plans, specifications, & testing procedures. Communicate testing results and construction concerns to project managers. Keep supervisors informed of project progress, schedule changes, and delays. Coordinate with dispatch regarding daily assignments and project locations. Follow and help enforce all company and project safety requirements. Safely operate, maintain, and protect assigned testing equipment. Participate in company-provided training and work toward additional certifications. Qualifications and Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. At least one year of CMT experience. ACI Concrete and Nicet Level II soils certifications preferred ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician—Grade I certification preferred. Candidates without certifications must be willing and able to obtain it within 3 months of hire. Nicet Level II Soils certification, preferred. Additional ACI, NICET, ICC, or related certifications are a plus. Must be punctual, reliable, dependable, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, timely results. Abile to read and interpret plans, specifications, & safety rules. Basic computer and smartphone skills, including Microsoft Outlook. Have a valid Texas driver’s license and a driving record acceptable for the position. Able to pass a background check and drug screening. Able to walk and stand for extended periods in outdoor construction environments. Be able to regularly lift, carry, and push more than 40 pounds. Be willing to travel and adjust to project schedules as needed.
