Construction Scheduler – Primavera P6 Industry: Oil & Gas / Energy / Industrial Construction Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Derwent Reports To: Project Controls Manager / Project Manager Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler with strong Primavera P6 expertise to support major construction projects within the oil, gas, energy, or industrial sectors. The Construction Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting project schedules to ensure construction activities are planned and executed in accordance with approved project timelines, milestones, budgets, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing detailed construction schedules and coordinating with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and field personnel. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 project schedules for construction and industrial projects. Establish project activities, logic, relationships, durations, calendars, milestones, and constraints. Develop baseline schedules, detailed execution schedules, recovery schedules, and schedule updates. Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, superintendents, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain accurate schedule information. Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline and identify schedule variances, delays, and potential impacts. Collect and validate field progress data and incorporate updates into the P6 schedule. Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, near-critical path, float, constraints, and milestone analysis. Identify potential schedule risks and recommend mitigation and recovery strategies. Prepare look-ahead schedules, typically covering 2-, 3-, 4-, or 6-week periods, as required by the project. Track engineering, procurement, material deliveries, construction activities, commissioning, and turnover milestones. Coordinate schedule interfaces between multiple disciplines, contractors, and project work packages. Assist with progress measurement, earned value, productivity tracking, and schedule performance reporting. Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, including progress curves, milestone status, critical-path analysis, and variance explanations. Support change management by assessing the potential schedule impact of change orders, delays, disruptions, and scope changes. Assist with delay analysis, time-extension documentation, and schedule impact analysis when required. Participate in project planning meetings, construction coordination meetings, and schedule review sessions. Ensure schedule information is accurate, current, and consistent with project execution plans and contractual requirements. Maintain proper schedule documentation and provide historical records for project controls and closeout.
