*\* \* \* Direct Hires ONLY. No Recruiters. No Phone Calls \* \* \** *Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of cranes and heavy equipment on construction sites. You will be responsible for lifting, moving, and positioning materials and equipment safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams. _Compensation may differ within or outside range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, specialized skills, education, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations._ *Responsibilities* * Conduct daily safety inspections of crane(s), rigging, and associated equipment. * Lead and coordinate pre-lift planning and safety meetings with teams. * Evaluate work areas and properly position and set up crane, including outriggers, blocking, leveling, and boom assembly. * Operate crane in a safe, controlled, and efficient manner in accordance with OSHA and manufacturer guidelines. * Maintain clear communication with riggers and signal people using approved hand signals or radios. * Ensure the crane operating area is free of obstructions and that all safety protocols are followed. * Execute millwright tasks as assigned when not operating the crane. * *While this position does not have any direct reports, Crane Operator is also responsible for:* * Planning all aspects of the lift. * Directing activities of the crane team. * Verifying load weights and rigging integrity. * Determining appropriate communication methods. * Making final decisions on whether conditions are safe to proceedRequirements * *REQUIREMENTS* * National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) certification. * Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical). * Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). * Experience in an industrial and/or construction environment. * Demonstrated knowledge of crane safety, rigging, and lift planning. * Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation. * Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans. * Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * * _*PAUL'S Machine and Welding Corp is an Equal Opportunity Employer that prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type.
