CNC Press Brake & Waterjet Programmer/Operator *Job Title: CNC Press Brake & Waterjet Programmer/Operator* The CNC Press Brake & Waterjet Programmer/Operator: You'll program and run our waterjet and press brake to turn raw plate and stock into precision parts for custom stairs and railing — accurate to the print, right the first time, on schedule for the shop floor. As CNC Press Brake & Waterjet Programmer/Operator, you're critical to keeping fabrication moving. You'll work directly with the production planning team and the fabrication team to turn drawings into cut and formed parts that fit right, every time, so the shop never has to wait on you. Compensation: *$23.00 - $29.00 per hour based on experience* Responsibilities - Programming & Setup (40% of your time): * Program parts on the CNC waterjet from drawings, DXF/CAD files, or cut lists * Set up and program the CNC press brake for bends, forms, and tolerances called out on the print * Nest parts for efficient material use and minimal scrap * Load material and set up tooling correctly for each job * Verify programs against the print before running production Responsibilities - Operation & Production (45% of your time): * Operate the waterjet and press brake to cut and form parts to spec * Monitor the cut/form in progress and adjust for material, tolerance, or quality issues * Keep pace with shop production schedules and communicate delays early * Handle a range of materials — stainless, aluminum, steel/iron — correctly for each job Responsibilities - Quality & Shop Support (15% of your time): * Inspect finished parts against the drawing before they leave your station * Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting, pump rebuilding. * Flag print or spec issues to production before they become scrapped material * Keep your work area organized and safe Required Qualifications: * 2+ year of experience operating a CNC waterjet (programming experience required) * Experience operating a CNC press brake * Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists * Strong attention to detail and precision measurement skills * Comfortable working with stainless, aluminum, and steel/iron * Valid Michigan driver's license Preferred Experiences: * Ornamental/structural metalwork or custom fabrication experience * Familiarity with CAD/CAM or nesting software * Forklift certification * Cross-trained on other shop equipment (saw, laser, etc.) Benefits * Competitive hourly pay * Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Paid Holidays * 401K w/ employer match * Life insurance, AD&D insurance, short-term & long-term disability, plus many others available Must email resume for consideration. *Job Type: Full-time* *Benefits:* * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * AD&D insurance * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance *Education:* * High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) * Technical/vocational certificate in machining or CNC (Preferred) *Experience:* * CNC Waterjet programming/operation: 2 year (Required) * CNC Press Brake programming/operation: 2 year (Preferred) * CNC machine maintenance *Work Location:* In person Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
