*Apprentice Service Technician — Commercial Roofing (Pathway to Service Foreman)* *Are you ready to build a career in commercial roofing?* We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Service Technician to join our service department and train directly under one of our experienced Service Foremen. This isn't just an entry-level job — it's the first step on a defined path toward becoming a Service Foreman yourself. You'll work side-by-side with your foreman on real commercial roofs, learning the systems, the technology, and the leadership skills needed to run a service crew. If you're hands-on, eager to learn, and want a trade with real advancement opportunity, we want to hear from you. *-What You'll Do* As an Apprentice Service Technician, you'll support the Service Foreman on day-to-day repair and maintenance work across a variety of commercial roofing systems, including BUR, modified bitumen (MB), EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal, shingle, and others. You'll be trained on: Roofing systems and repair techniques — hands-on instruction across the full range of commercial roof types, materials, and repair methods, working alongside your foreman on active job sites. Diagnosing and tracing problems — learning how to inspect roofs, spot signs of damage or leaks, and help trace issues back to their root cause. Field technology and reporting — using inspection apps, preventative maintenance reports, and (eventually) Centerpoint Connect systems to document work and track vehicle inventory. Safety and equipment — proper use of man lifts and other roofing tools and equipment, with an eye toward earning your OSHA and man lift certifications. Client and team communication — how to professionally represent the company on-site with clients, other trades, and account managers. Leadership fundamentals — as you progress, you'll take on more responsibility, with the goal of eventually managing your own crew, tracking their time, safety, and training as a Service Foreman. *-Your Growth Path* This role is designed for advancement. As you gain experience and demonstrate readiness, you'll take on increasing responsibility — from technician to lead technician to Service Foreman — with the company investing in your certifications and training along the way. *Requirements* * High school diploma or equivalent * 1–2 years of experience in construction, roofing, or related hands-on trade work preferred (general labor or maintenance experience also considered) * Willingness to learn commercial roofing systems, materials, and repair techniques from an experienced foreman * No OSHA or man lift certification required to start — willingness to train for and obtain these as you grow into the role * Comfortable working at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in physically demanding environments * Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing problem-solving and diagnostic skills * Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well while also showing initiative * Basic comfort with technology (smartphone/tablet apps); willingness to learn field reporting systems * Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing attitude * Willingness and ability to work long hours and occasional weekends as needed * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation *-Why This Role* * A clear, supported path from Apprentice to Service Foreman — not just a job, a career * Hands-on mentorship from an experienced Service Foreman * Company-supported training and certifications (OSHA, man lift, and more) as you advance * Real, growing responsibility as your skills develop If you're ready to learn a skilled trade, work alongside an expert, and build toward leading your own crew, submit your resume and any relevant experience or certifications.
