Description
Location: Shop - Hartsville, TN/Field - Nashville, TN Area Pay: DOE Hours: 6:30am to 3:15pm (45min unpaid break) We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Foreman to lead field operations and oversee daily activities on construction and maintenance job sites. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who promotes a strong safety culture, ensures quality workmanship, manages field crews, and helps deliver projects on time and within budget. This position requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and construction management skills, along with extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Maintain OSHA Competent Person status and enforce all company and site safety requirements. Lead and supervise field crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Develop and adjust work plans and schedules to meet project deadlines. Coordinate daily activities with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients. Monitor project progress and address field issues, delays, safety concerns, and quality challenges. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and construction drawings. Inspect completed work to verify compliance with project requirements and quality standards. Train, mentor, and develop field personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability. Ensure proper use, operation, and maintenance of construction tools, equipment, and machinery. Participate in project meetings, safety training, and site inspections. Assist with project documentation, scheduling, and resource management. Leadership Responsibilities Direct supervision of field crews and daily site operations. Assign tasks and ensure proper construction methods are followed. Monitor employee performance and productivity. Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. Experience coordinating construction schedules and managing multiple job site activities. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience in commercial, utility, pipeline, or heavy civil construction. OSHA Competent Person designation. Knowledge of construction management software. Experience with quality control, safety management, and budget oversight. Ability to operate testing equipment, including ohmmeters and similar inspection tools.
