*Position Summary* Gulf South Roofing is seeking an experienced and dependable Metal Roofing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of metal roofing systems, installation techniques, repair procedures, and job site safety practices. This individual will work independently and as part of a crew to ensure high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction on residential and commercial roofing projects. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* * Install various metal roofing systems, including standing seam, exposed fastener, and specialty metal roof applications. * Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements. * Measure, cut, bend, and fabricate metal roofing materials as needed. * Install roof panels, trim, flashing, ridge caps, gutters, and related components. * Perform roof repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on existing metal roofing systems. * Ensure all work meets company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Operate hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment safely and efficiently. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers. * Assist with material loading, unloading, and inventory management. * Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective action when necessary. * Mentor and assist less experienced crew members when needed. *Qualifications* * *Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and repairing metal roofing systems.* * Strong understanding of standing seam, corrugated, R-panel, and other metal roof systems. * Ability to accurately read tape measures and perform basic construction-related math. * Knowledge of roofing safety regulations and fall protection requirements. * Experience using roofing hand tools, power tools, sheet metal brakes, and fabrication equipment. * Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred. * Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. *Physical Requirements* * Ability to work at heights and on steep roof slopes. * Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly. * Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods. * Must be able to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment. *Physical Requirements* * Ability to work at heights and on steep roof slopes. * Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly. * Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods. * Must be able to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment. *Preferred Qualifications* * OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. * Experience with commercial roofing projects. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. * Experience operating lifts, telehandlers, or other construction equipment. *Key Competencies* * Quality Workmanship * Safety Awareness * Dependability * Attention to Detail * Teamwork * Problem Solving * Customer Focus * Accountability *Why Join Gulf South Roofing?* At Gulf South Roofing, we value integrity, commitment to quality, customer focus, teamwork, and accountability.
