Description
Position Summary A Industrial blower mechanic installs, maintains, services and repairs industrial positive displacement blowers and air-moving equipment. The mechanic will diagnose mechanical failures, replace worn seals, bearings, gears and other components and perform pressure and performance tests to ensure safe, efficient operations. Key Responsibilities • Maintenance & Repair: Dissemble, clean, inspect, repair and reassemble industrial blowers and components. • Diagnostics: Troubleshoot vibration, noise, overheating, oil leaks, pressure or vacuum issues using gauges and measuring tools. • Installation: Install and align blowers, belts and related components to ensure proper operation. • Preventative Care: Lubricate moving parts and replace worn belts, seals, bearings and filters with related equipment as needed. • Service & Testing: Perform inspections, measurements, pressure or vacuum testing, and operations testing to verify proper blower performance. • Safety Compliance: Follow strict OSHA guidelines, wear personal protective equipment and handle high pressure systems safely. Safely manage the weight of all equipment due to heavy materials/ products. Required Qualifications • Education: High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification in mechanics is preferred. • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on industrial mechanical repair; specifically with industrial blowers. • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read and interpret engineer drawings, and proficiency with hand and power tools. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and manage heavy equipment. Weight amounts will vary with materials and products. • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shields, gloves, etc.) • Motivated to succeed and complete tasks as assigned. • Regular and prompt attendance is required. • Team Player with shop staff, engineers, sales team and office staff.
