Description

We are Bildworx Design, an MEP engineering firm located in the Fort Lauderdale area, and we’re looking to add a Mechanical Engineer PE to our team. Our services include MEP Engineering Design, Technology Systems Design, and Specialty Lighting Design. We work hard but our hours are flexible. *Some things you’ll be responsible for:* * Leading the design for various construction projects with a strong knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts. * Designing HVAC systems, including equipment specification and selection. * Performing thermal load and energy calculations as required. * Managing projects to ensure successful delivery of project milestones. * Coordinating project-related communication between clients and team members. * Tracking project open items and working with clients to resolve issues. * Conducting project site visits, documenting existing conditions, and attending client meetings if needed. * Complying with all authorities and staying current on all applicable code requirements. *Minimum qualifications:* * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Professional Engineering (PE) license required for the state of Florida. * 5-10 years of experience in mechanical HVAC design. * 3-5 years of experience in project management. * AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency. * Professional, positive, solution-driven, willing to learn. * Strong desire to produce quality work and meet project deadlines. * Excellent client-facing skills, including communication and follow-through. * Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. * Candidate must be located in Broward, Miami-Dade, or Palm Beach County. *Additional preferred qualifications:* * Plumbing system design. * Fire protection system design. * LEED AP. *Salary and benefits:* * Compensation is based on experience and may include bonuses / profit sharing. * Flexible schedule with hybrid work from home setup. * Flexible PTO.
