Description

*Position Summary* The Rebar Fabrication / Fab Shop Employee is responsible for assisting with the fabrication, handling, organization, and preparation of reinforcing steel and materials in a shop environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, dependability, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. *Schedule* * 40+ hours per week * Must be willing and available to work overtime and weekends as needed based on workload and project requirements. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* * Tie and assemble reinforcing steel (rebar) according to project specifications. * Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. * Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials throughout the fabrication shop. * Assist with general fabrication shop duties and material handling. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. * Properly organize and maintain shop materials and equipment. * Complete, maintain, and organize required paperwork and documentation. * Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and instructions. * Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to complete assigned tasks. * Perform additional duties and general labor tasks as needed to support shop operations. *Qualifications & Requirements* * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. * Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and handling materials. * Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and overhead cranes. * Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. * Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive, professional attitude. * Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and assist wherever needed. * Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required. * Previous rebar, fabrication, construction, forklift, or crane experience is preferred but not required.
